This is the continuation to the story of Business Thieves. Pugazhendhi thought that he was fully out of the case. But he finds that he is not too far from the business thieves.They are after him.

 

Chapter 19: The Looted House

Date: 20th July 2012, Friday

Place: Sampathinallur

 

They reached the house of Manilal Mehta at 6 O clock.

The house was an independent bungalow type house.

 

There was no gatekeeper for that house.

The gate got kept locked.

 

The driver got down and opened the lock of the gate.

The car and the jeep entered the bungalow.

 

The bungalow’s door was also kept locked.

Manilal Mehta and his driver walked in the front.

 

Pugazhendhi and Apparao followed them.

There were some chairs placed in the front lobby area of the building.

 

They opened the door and went inside the building.

Manilal Mehta guided them to his bedroom.

 

There was a steel bureau and its front door got cut open by a welding machine tool.

There were many costly clothes in that Bureau.

 

Pugazhendhi saw them and said, “They have left the clothes and taken the diamonds only”

Manilal Mehta said, “Yes sir”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “So they are selective”

Manilal Mehta said, “But I don’t know how they found this place of mine?”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “How many times you visit this house?”

Manilal Mehta said, “Twice in a week sir”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…where will you come from?”

Manilal Mehta said, “I will come from chengalpattu”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Did you notice somebody following you?”

Manilal Mehta said,”mmm…I don’t know whether anybody followed me or not”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “That is the only way by which the thief could have found this place”

Manilal Mehta asked, “But how could have they assessed that this bureau has diamonds”

 

Pugazhendhi asked, “What will be the fruit of a mango tree?”

Manilal Mehta said, “Mango”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Then what will be contents of a Jewel merchant’s bureau?”

Manilal Mehta said,”Hmmm…I understand they have done it in a guess, like a trial and error method”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes”

Manilal Mehta said,”hmmm…my time is bad”

 

Pugazhendhi took photographs of the interiors of the building.

They came out of the bedroom and entered the hall.

 

As Manilal Mehta said, there was a small vent opening in the eastern side wall below the rooftop level.

Pugazhendhi took a photograph of that vent opening.

 

Manilal Mehta asked, “Why are you taking a picture of that vent opening”

Pugazhendhi said, “Because it is important for this case”

 

Manilal Mehta said,” I am not able to understand”

Pugazhendhi said, “We have a past history of these type of cases”

 

Manilal Mehta asked, “What?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes, the thieves use robotics for the process”

 

Manilal Mehta asked, “How?”

Pugazhendhi said, “They can enter the houses through small vent and cause major losses”

 

Manilal Mehta said,”Oh! They are using Robots”

Pugazhendhi said, “And fighting those robots is a tough process”

 

Manilal Mehta asked, “Why?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Shooting them, does not work “

 

Manilal Mehta said,”Oh is it so?”

Pugazhendhi said, “They need to get blasted into pieces”

 

Manilal Mehta said,”Oh, will you use bombs”

Pugazhendhi said,”mmmm…yes, but not in all cases”

 

Pugazhendhi added, “In the tough situations, we use grenades”

Manilal Mehta said, “And what about the recovery of my diamonds?”

 

Pugazhendhi laughed,”Ha! Ha! Ha! it is very difficult to get them back”

Pugazhendhi continued, “But we are arranging for a special team in two days”

 

Pugazhendhi continued, “If we are able to track them within time, we will make a try to recover”

Manilal Mehta said, “Why are you saying like this sir?”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “I am telling the facts, why do I need to hide?”

Manilal Mehta said, “It is my hard earned wealth sir”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Do you own those diamonds, or is it a black market product?”

Manilal Mehta said, “I can show the bills and sale orders for that diamonds”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Then, please register a complaint with us”

Manilal Mehta said,”Ok sir”
