This is the continuation to the story of Business Thieves. Pugazhendhi thought that he was fully out of the case. But he finds that he is not too far from the business thieves.They are after him.

 

Chapter 18: The Thieves are playing

Date: 20th July 2012, Friday.

Place: Pazhamathur

 

It was 5 O Clock in the evening.

At that time a Volkswagen Vento model car entered the campus of the police station.

 

A man of 40 years age came out of the car and entered the police station.

He wore an orange colour Kurta and a white dhoti.

 

He looked like a rich man.

He entered the Police station.

 

Apparao asked, “Sir, what can I do for you?”

He said, “I want to meet the Inspector”

 

Apparao asked, “Your name sir?”

He said, “I am Manilal Mehta”

 

Apparao said,”Ok, Please wait a minute sir”

Apparao went inside Pugazhendhi’s room.

 

Apparao said, “Sir, Mr.Manilal Mehta has come to see you”

Pugazhendhi said,”Mmm…ask him to come in”

 

Apparao came out and said, “Sir, you can see him”

Manilal Mehta entered Pugazhendhi’s cabin.

 

Pugazhendhi saw him and smiled.

He looked somewhat serious.

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Good evening sir”

Manilal Mehta said, “Good evening”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Please take your seat”

Manilal Mehta sat in the chair.

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes sir, please tell me”

Manilal Mehta said,”Mmm…I have got a problem”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Please tell me”

Manilal Mehta said, “I am doing jewellery business in chengalpattu”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok”

Manilal Mehta said, “I have a house in Sampathinallur”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…ok”

Manilal Mehta said, “Yesterday I did not go to Sampathinallur”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”mmm…ok”

Manilal Mehta said, “My house bureau got cut open by using a welding machine”

Pugazhendhi asked, “was there anybody in your home or not?”

 

Manilal Mehta said, “No sir, it was one of my houses”

Pugazhendhi said,”Hmmm…what did you lose?”

 

Manilal Mehta said, “There was 50 carat of diamonds”

Pugazhendhi exclaimed,”Oh! My god”

 

Manilal Mehta said, “The culprits have taken away only that 50 carats of diamonds”

Pugazhendhi said, “where there any other valuable material in that bureau?”

 

Manilal Mehta said, “No sir”

Pugazhendhi said,”Mmm…do you have any windows in your house?”

 

Manilal Mehta said,”Mmm…I have closed all the doors and windows and locked the front door”

Pugazhendhi said, “I mean to ask if there is an air vent arrangement”

 

Manilal Mehta said,”mmm…yes it is there”

Pugazhendhi asked, “What is the worth of the diamonds as per current market price?”

 

Manilal Mehta said, “It will go beyond Rs.1 crore sir”

Pugazhendhi said, “More than one crore rupees…mmm…”

 

Manilal Mehta said, “Yes sir”

Pugazhendhi said, “Can I see the spot now?”

 

Manilal Mehta said, “Yes sir, Please come with me”

Pugazhendhi called,”Apparao!”

 

Apparao came inside the cabin of Pugazhendhi.

Pugazhendhi said, “Get ready with our Jeep, we have a case to attend”

 

Manilal Mehta stood up from the chair.

Apparao went outside and got inside the Jeep.

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Sir, you please go in the front, we will follow your car”

Manilal Mehta said,”Ok sir”

 

Manilal Mehta went outside and got into his car.

Pugazhendhi came out of the police station and got into his jeep.

 

Manilal Mehta’s car started and went outside the campus.

Apparao followed the car of Manilal Mehta.

 

Apparao asked, “What is the case, sir?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Theft”

 

Apparao asked, “Again a theft case?”

Pugazhendhi said,”hmmm…yes”

Apparao said, “In this area, this is new to our people sir”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “You mean, about theft cases?”

Apparao said,”Mmm…this is the third case for our station in this week”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”Mmm…yes this is also a major theft”

Apparao said,”Oh! My god”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “The thieves are playing their game”

Apparao asked, “What a kind of game is this?”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”hmm…god only knows”
