Chapter X: A Coffee with Prabhu

Date: 31st May 2012

Place: Saidapet

Pugazhendhi returned to his apartment at 6.30 p.m. in the evening.

To his surprise, Prabhu was waiting near his apartment.

Prabhu said “Good evening Pugazh”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes Good evening”

Pugazhendhi opened his apartment and both of them went inside.

After refreshing himself, Pugazhendhi came to the hall where Prabhu was waiting.

Pugazhendhi asked, “Do you like to have a coffee”

Prabhu said, “Yes Of course”

Pugazhendhi prepared coffee for both of them.

They sipped the coffee together.

Prabhu asked, “How is the case moving?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes man, now only it is getting spark”

Prabhu said,”Oh I see”

Pugazhendhi said, “From next week I will be working with a team “

Prabhu said, “I expected it”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes, it will be a day and night monitoring work”

Prabhu said, “Do I have any role to play?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Do you have any work next week?”

Prabhu said, “I do have work, but if you need me, I will postpone them”

Pugazhendhi said, “Then you please postpone them”

Prabhu said, “Yes I will do it”

Pugazhendhi said, “We will work in night time only”

Prabhu said,”Oh, we are going to hunt the culprit”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes, but keep the secret within yourself”

Prabhu said, “Sure man”

Pugazhendhi said, “Anyhow, our people will be there, you are for an extra workforce”

Prabhu said, “I understand”

Pugazhendhi said, “How about dinner together tonight?”

Prabhu said, “Sorry man, I do have some work”

Pugazhendhi said,”Oh, Okay”

Prabhu said,”Ok, I have to go now, Bye”

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok, Bye”

 

Chapter XI: The Operation

Date: 7th June 2012

Place: A Remote location in Nungambakkam, Chennai

As per Mr.Kannan’s Plan, a Remote hideout was setup.

The Hideout was for the investigating officers of “The Exploitation of Food items case.”

There were screens which got connected to the cameras placed in the Kitchens of many Hotels.

Pugazhendhi was much excited to be a part of that Operation.

The Officers went to the address of the hideout.

The Operation was of a new kind to them.

Everyone was present there by evening 7 O clock.

Kannan was also present in the Hideout.

Kannan said, “Dear gentlemen, thanks for coming “

Everybody answered, “Good evening sir”

Kannan said, “We will start the first day of operation today”

Pugazhendhi said, “Great sir”

Kannan said, “I have struggled a lot to setup this “

Everybody clapped their hands.

Kannan said, “But we need results, that is our motto”

Kannan said, “We have placed camera in 20 selective Hotels”

Kannan added, “Those are the places, where we doubt that the next attack may occur”

Pugazhendhi asked, “Is 20 locations enough sir?”

Kannan said, “We have done it based on some analysis”

Pugazhendhi said, “So we are on a Trial and Error method?”

Kannan said, “Yes, though we have first class technology, yet we are on a trial and error mode”

Muthu said, “We will do our best”

Kannan said, “This commitment level is what I need”

Everybody said, “We will catch the culprit sir”

Kannan said, “Thank you people”

Kannan added, “Dinner is available now, we can work after dinner”

Everybody left for Dinner.

Kannan’s mind had dispersion of thoughts.
