Chapter XXXXIII: The Urgent inquiry

Date: 16th June 2012

Place: Adyar

 

Kannan and his team flew to the bungalow of Farooq immediately.

The time was 3.30 p.m. when Kannan’s team reached Farooq’s house.

 

Pugazhendhi was waiting in an anxious manner.

He did not convey the fact discovery of Farooq’s agreement through the phone call.

 

But, it was important evidence, hence Pugazhendhi was restless.

Kannan and his team of 6 police officers entered the underground room.

 

They stumbled on seeing the cash.

Pugazhendhi said “Sir, I need to convey you about an important finding”

 

Kannan asked, “What is it?”

Pugazhendhi said, “I found an agreement copy which shows Rawat’s name”

 

Kannan exclaimed,”Rawat!”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes sir”

 

Kannan said, “He is a millionaire in Abhiramapuram”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes sir”

 

We need to enquire him.

Kannan asked, “Why didn’t you inform me this first?”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “sorry sir, I thought of not to inform it through telephone”

Kannan said, “And we will give time for the culprit to escape”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Sorry sir”

Kannan said, “Team, 3 of you be here and 3 of you come with me”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “What about me sir?”

Kannan said,”Ok, you also come with me, we need to hurry to Rawat’s house”

 

Pugazhendhi said,”Ok sir”

Kannan, Pugazhendhi and three others got into a jeep and flew to Abhiramapuram.

 

 

 

Chapter XXXXIV: A Different world

Date: 16th June 2012

Place: Abhiramapuram

 

Kannan and his team reached Rawat’s house by 4.30 p.m.

The address proof which Pugazhendhi discovered helped to identify the location.

The house was a huge bungalow with a vast compound wall covering a periphery of 10 acres of land.

When they stopped at the gate, there was no one as a gatekeeper.

 

Hence they opened the Gate by themselves

The jeep entered the compound wall and reached the front side parking of the bungalow.

 

When the team got down from the jeep, they heard a gunshot inside the bungalow.

Immediately all the officers pulled out their guns and kept it in a ready position.

 

Kannan said,”Pugazh, be careful”

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes sir”

 

Kannan asked, “Can we split and operate or operate together?”

Pugazhendhi said, “Splitting is not safe sir”

 

Kannan said,”Ok one by one we will enter the house”

Pugazhendhi said, “Good idea”

 

Kannan said,”Ok, I will lead first then”

Pugazhendhi said, “Sir, I will go first”

 

Kannan said,”Ok, then if you wish so, please proceed”

Pugazhendhi went inside the bungalow first, with Kannan and others following him.

 

On the ground floor, there were many types of furniture and tables which looked like a receiving Hall.

No people were there.

 

They thought that gunshot could have from the first floor.

So, they went up the stairs one by one.

 

There were many rooms in the first floor also.

The place got isolated and no people were there.

 

They checked all the rooms one by one.

In the 5th room, when they opened the door, they found a dead body.

 

They stopped there.

It was Rawat, the man whose address proof found in Farooq’s house.

He had shot himself in his left chest with his own gun.

The room had a computer and a good server.

 

He had the best kind of technological devices in that room.

Kannan said,”Pugazh, kindly check that computer”

 

Pugazhendhi tried to log in to Rawat’s computer.

There was no password set and hence he was able to access it.

 

There was DVR viewer software installed in the system.

Pugazhendhi accessed the DVR viewer files.

 

To his surprise, it showed the rooms in Farooq’s house.

There were also videos of Sirish’s Bungalow.

 

Kannan also saw them.

Kannan shouted, “Bingo! We solved the whole case”

 

Pugazhendhi said, “Yes sir”

Both of them felt themselves in a different world.
